New Music: Introducing CALGARY

Calgary2.JPG

Fresh out of the smoke we introduce to you new indie pop trio CALGARY, fronted by the stunning singer songwriter Jakob Deist.

After being approached and offered a private interview to part take in last years Britain’s Got Talent, Jakob declined and formed this project with bassist Kirill Teslia and guitarist Pete Wicker. All three members have their own individual achievements that they bring to the table; so taking on this new project together is set to be an exciting new direction for the trio. From supporting the likes of Don Broco, Bowling For Soup and Dave McPherson in previous projects, this three piece are not shy when it comes to performing. They’ve even performed at Johnny Depp’s recent Disney film launch in Camden!

For fans of hellogoodbye and John Mayer, this EP integrates a few genres but still stays true to an identity meanwhile delivering an exciting array of catchy new songs.

Their new single ‘Fight Fire With Fire’ is released on the 1st November and this debut single is taken from the bands new EP of the same name due for release on 2nd December.

The EP was recorded by Mike Curtis who has worked with a multitude of great artists and bands such as Bury Tomorrow, The Dead Formats and Fozzy to mention a few. Mike jumped at the chance to add Calgary to his list of successors.

Last week saw Calgary reveal their brand new video for ‘Fight Fire With Fire’ via the UK’s number 1 online music magazine Ourzone. You can watch the video HERE.
