New Music: Introducing Owen Penrice

Owen I'll Never Beg

From the birthplace of Ben Howard and Ryan Keen, we introduce singer songwriter, OWEN PENRICE.

Hailing from Devon, this youngster has been writing songs since he was just 13. After learning to play the guitar shortly after learning to walk, Owen’s dream has always been to be a singer songwriter. He’s played in pubs and clubs for over eight years and toured the UK with his good friend, X Factor’s Luke Friend, as well as supporting the likes of Cosmo Jarvis, Dry The River and many more.

Having already declined several private auditions for ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, Owen wants to continue to do what he loves; relentless touring all over the country and delivering his music to as many people as possible.

In 2013 Owen was invited by the BBC to Maida Vale Studios in London to attend 1Xtra’s Masterclass. He performed in front of Charlie Sloth, Devlin, Wretch 32, Angel, Mistajam and DJ Target receiving great reviews all round.

Owen’s debut single ‘I’ll Never Beg’ was released for free download on New Year’s Day (1st January 2014). This single is taken from the artists new EP of the same name due for release on the 10th February.

For fans of Plan B and Itch, this EP integrates hints of rap, pop and folk hop but still stays true to an identity. It delivers a collective bunch of catchy new songs that get stuck in your head from the off.

Today saw Owen reveal his brand new video for ‘I’ll Never Beg’ via MUZU TV. You can watch the video here.
